Do you feel like you have tried everything and still can't understand why your much loved family member is being like this or how to help them?

Meet Waffle, a deaf Boston Terrier with OCD behaviours

Waffle is a young Boston Terrier who was found to be deaf and was rehomed due to being deaf and having light chasing and tail chasing OCD behaviour.

OCD behaviour can arise for all sorts of reasons and in Waffles case there were lots of reasons she presented this way.

When I rehomed Waffle we had to get to work very quickly to change the behaviours - the sooner the better. The more I unravelled the harder it seemed to find the solutions. However through good detective work and a lot of analysis Waffle was 50% better in just 2 weeks and 4 months on does not have any OCD behaviours left.

The trick to success here was careful monitoring and adapting my plan around my observations

In a very short space of time Waffle learnt the world is safe and she will be okay in it.

Dogs can have OCD behaviours like light chasing and tail chasing and shadow chasing or fly snapping
